Wow!

I haven't updated this thing in a while so have a few things to keep everyone up to date with.

So the summer here in AUS has finished! Was good to come back from the States last year and have a good 3 months break from wakeboarding all together, I came back motivated and felt so much more comfortable on the water after having some time off.

The season kicked off with the first ever WWA Australian Pro am in NSW at Stoney Park. It was a huge event, all the top riders from Aus were there shredding all weekend. Conditions got pretty dam rough in the final, and I ended up taking 4th. Then we went to one of Australia's Premier events, the Moomba Masters. This was a crazy event, Melbourne went through some crazy floods and I for the first time in my life saw Hail the size of golf balls! That didnt stop the event and the 150,000 people coming to watch the event. I rode solid all weekend with the Final between myself Jeff Weatherall and Worlds best Cable rider Tom Fooshee. It came real close between myself and Jeff, but I came out ontop taking the win and the $4500.

I then was off to Renmark, South AUS for the National Championships. Couldn't ask for a better event, conditions were perfect all weekend. I was first off the dock in the final and had a solid run, Once again i ended up taking the win overall. Not only did I win the nationals but from winning that I am now selected once again to ride and travel on the World Cup.

So this weekend I have the 4th Tour stop, the second last one for the season! I am pumped for this weekend! The tour stop is in Louisville Kentucky, haven't been to Louisville before so should be a good weekend! After the last tour stop I am feeling pretty good leading into this event, I have been riding with Sam Thomson, Harley Clifford & Daniel Powers alot this past week. I have also been heading out to O'TOWN Watersports and riding with Glen Fletcher who has also help me out a bunch this year! Tune in after the weekend for some results. So about 3 weeks ago was the Obrien Team Catalog shoot on all tyhe 2010 product, all week we shot out at Dallas Fridays house withe the whole team. Was a fun week for sure and got to get all our 2010 board and boots!

Pro Wakeboard Tour!!!

Hey Guys,

I have been very slack updating this thing but got a bunch of news for you guys and a sneak peak of the new 2010 O'brien valhala!!!!

I had the 3rd Tour stop 2 weeks ago in Knoxville, was a fun event, water conditions were decent, but the site reminded me of south bank alot! Rock walls down either side of the course so it was just back washy the whole time, but apart from that I rode solid all weekend long, got 4th place, I was happy to finally make another final on the PWT. I hadn't ridden so good in the first couple tour stops but to finally come back and get in the final was a huge confidence booster!

Whats up!

Been a hectic couple weeks. I have been heading out to lake Holden most days and been riding non stop with Harley Clifford, Dalllas Friday and Sam Thomson! Its been a little windy here the past few weeks but freaking HOT!

I have learn't a couple new tricks which has been awesome, and just getting my stuff sorted out to get ready to go to Masters in just under 2 weeks! Should be a fun event, The Masters event over here is very similar to our Mommba Masters except this event is 100 times bigger!

Check back in a couple weeks for some results and more info!

What's Up Guys!

Haven't really updated this lately but here's some of the stuff I got going on here in the States. 22-24th May is the 50th Masters Event, 8 riders invite only, the following weekend is the first Pro Wakeboard Tour stop, Dallas Texas.

Not to much has been going over here lately in Orlando, Just trying to ride as much as I can and stay injury free. I have been going out to the Projects wakeboard camp riding on the Sesitic Cable system there learning a bunch of new cable tricks which is so much fun!

I'lll hit you all back up with some new info soon! Peaceee!

Orlando!

What's up! I just got into Orlando 2 days ago after flying 30 freaking hours!

So far everything is good, they didn't loose my bags but I was stuck in the Denver airport for 6 hours, my flight was delayed to Orlando and didn't end up getting into Orlando until 4 a.m

The first contest here in Orlando is in about a week from now, the Wake Games. Ill keep you posted!

End of Season...

I just got home from the QWA (Queensland Wakeboard Association) end of season presentation. All the local rippers headed to Somerset Dam for the weekend and had a blast.

This was by far QWA's best season so far! The level of riding progressed so much this season. Check out the QWA website for all the latest updates and information for the new season.

I was stoked to have won the overall QWA Tour this year, and can't wait for a bigger and better season next year!

So thats a wrap for contests here in Aus. Couple of weeks now before I head back to the states, hopefully get some new tricks and have some down time with the family and friends before I head off.

So I am just about to take off for the weekend up to Somerset Dam. We have the wrap up presentation for the 2008/2009 Queensland Wakeboard Association Season. Should be a fun weekend just hanging out and riding with all of the QWA crew. Will get some new pics and video filming from the weekend.

So I just got home from Renmark, South Australia! All week I was down there free riding and riding in the contest. Was a awesome week hanging out with everyone from all over Australia. Thanks to a good friend of mine Parker Siegle he had his brand new Malibu VLX loaded and the wake was kicking all week.

First round of heats I rode awesome, but when it came to finals I didn't put it together like I planned. I had a couple of falls and ended up coming 4th. Everyone has there off days and I guess it was my turn to have mine.

All good though, just finalizing all my US stuff getting ready to go back over in 3 weeks now!!!! I can't wait to get back over and do some solid riding with everyone over there! But for now its back to the river and learn some new stuff before I head off!

So the whether finally turned on for us today, all week it has been overcast, raining and crappy out. Woke up this morning sun was out and looed like a ripper of a day, sure enough it was. Just got done shredding with my little Brother Mitch and we both rode bad ass this morning! Just having a nice feed efore we head back out this afternoon and will post up a nice little video of the day tonight! Check back a it later on! PEACEEE!

I take off Monday for the Nationals down in Renmark, South Aus. It's my last contest here in Aus before I take off to go to Orlando on April 16th.

I have been riding none stop and doing contests nearlly every weekend, so I can't wait to have some down time before I leave for Orlando. I'll let you know how everything pans out down at nationals.

My first ever cover! Was stoked to be able to get the Cover of this Boarder issue! Dimi and myself put alot of time into this cover thats for sure. Alot of early mornings driving to Somerset Dam trying to get the right shot and angle. But all the time and effort paid off and came up pretty dam good in my opion.

Dimi came up with the whole mirror shot idea. He came to me and told me what he had thought about, I was all about it and was super pumped! I don't think I have seen anything like it and it seemed to have work just nicely! The shot is of me doing a crail glide, something kind of original but still cool. If you haven't checked the magazine already you should! Get yourself a copy for sure!

Wow, so I was talking to Mitch Langfield the other day and he told me about this new little thing he had going on where he had some sort of blog...
